Давай рассмотрим наши вопросы.
—Natasha, what day is today? (Какой сегодня день?)
-Wednesday. Today is Wednesday.
-What is today’s date? (Какое число/дата?)
-February, 28? not? 29Th.
-So, what month is it? (Месяц?)
-What year is it? (Год?)
-Two thousand twelve (2012).
-Sometimes we ask the question “How many?” We’re counting. How many days are there in a week?
-Seven./There are seven days. We can change this question. How many days are there in a month? Or in February? So one question could be “How many days are there in a month?” “-Could be 29 or 28, 30, 31.” How many days are there in January?
-We’re just counting. We don’t say thirty-first. Thirty-one. If we’re just counting how many days – one day, two days… three days… you tell me thirty-one days. There are thirty-one days in January. But if I ask you “What is today’s date?” and it’s 31, the answer is “It’s January, 31st.” For dates we’ll say 29th, 31st. But if we’re just counting how many, then we don’t say ninth or first, we say nine or one. How many days are there in January? -Thirty-one. How many days are there in April? Do you know? (Когда мы считаем, то не говорим «тридцать первый», говорим «тридцать один». На вопрос «Какое число?» можно ответить «Тридцать первое»).
-I think there’s thirty.
-Okay. I can change this question. How many days are there in a year?
-Three hundred sixty-five.
-Yes. Three hundred sixty-five. And how many month are there in a year?
-Twelve. Okay. Good.
